How do I arrange a visit to the school?
How much does it cost to send my child to Lee Academy?
- Our fees remain very reasonable. Please refer to our fee
information section on this website for a detailed account of all
costs.
Do you belong to any associations?
- Lee Academy is an independent school, privately owned and
operated.
How do I know if my child will fit your programme?
- It is our job to challenge and support all our students so that
the programmes work for them. All students are assessed before
entering the school and every opportunity is taken to help your
child thrive at Lee Academy.
Is there a lunch programme?
- No, we offer an afternoon snack programme for Junior Kindergarten
through Grade Four. All students bring a lunch from home
except for special occasion days once a month. (e.g. pizza
day, sub sandwich day, etc.)
Do the students go on field trips?
- Yes! We believe very strongly that students benefit from
connecting what they are studying to the world at large. Every
class goes on several trips throughout the year.
Do you have a library?
- Yes! Named for our former governor, Hope Lee, the Hope Lee
Library provides the students with access to several thousand
titles.
Are your teachers certified?
- Yes, all our teachers hold an Ontario B.Ed. or equivalent (some
trained in England); one of our specialist teachers holds a degree in
that subject instead. Our drama teacher is a working actress
and writer with a B.A. in drama from McMaster University. Our
director, Alison Will, teaches the Latin programme.
How do I register my child?
- Please refer to the page on our website detailing enrolment
procedures. Thank you for your interest.
